Who doesn't love Easter? Well today's post are all about Easter. Here's my gorgeously cute Bunny Basket. Made using the punches from Stampin' Up! I saw this on a post from another demonstrator on deliaspaperworld.wordpress.com and just had to get my punches out to try it. I did not have all the punches used, but used a little alternative to the decorative bauble punch, but it worked. I filled them with mini egg goodies for my nieces and they were super impressed!
The following two are the lovely Easter makes I made at a workshop recently.
The stamp set of course for the card, is the Easter Blossoms set from the mini catalogue. The colours are Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum a fabulous combination.
I loved using the scallop edge ribbon which made such a quick difference to a simple stamped card. The eyelet border punch also made a delicate edge to layer the card. You cannot see so well in the picture, but the middle egg has a pearl in it to decorate the egg; you could even add a second layer on a dimensional pad to raise the middle image if making this for yourself.
I am a perfectionist at heart and so the eggs on the card were lined up using the Stamp-a-ma-jig tool to make sure they were straight. I probably should have used a glue and a ruler to secure the ribbon as it has slipped slightly on the glue dots under it!
Another project I demonstrated to the group was the gift bag shown here. It was cut and scored from a simple template I found online (sorry I have lost the link to credit it). Just one sheet of card and of the oval punches were used to create the handles and again some decoration added with the You Are Loved and Easter Blossom stamp sets.
The corner punch, which I could not be without, makes the corners look softer and gives a professional finish to the top of the bag. This is just the right size for Easter goodies or sweet treats at other times of the year too!
Both stamp sets are featured in the mini catalogue and are available only until end of April so if you want these sets, be quick! You will need to order them without delay to make sure you get them! I have used them for Valentine's, Mother and Easter makes to show how versatile they are.
