Gift Card Holder In Detail

As promised I am back today to add some more inspiration to your crafting with the details for the gift holder I posted yesterday.  I promised you a photo of the original gift card holder made at team training, and here it is.

Now, this one is one cut with the Card Base Pop 'n' Cuts Die.  Even easier!!  This is then folded to make your instant gift card holder which secures into itself.  The base die is normally used to make the fabulous pop-up cards which can be seen in the main catalogue on page 188 when you use the other pop 'n' cut inserts.  The base and pop-up inserts need the Extended Cutting pads.

For my gift card holder yesterday I used instead the Framelits Labels to cut the shaped ends.  It may not have been clear from the post how I did this, so here are a couple of photos to show the method.

  1. Slide the card top through the middle of the second to largest label die and up and under the top edge of the die.
  2. Line up the point of the label with the mid point of the card edge
  3. Line up the smaller curves of the label with each of the side edges
  4. Roll it through the Big Shot when you are happy
Tip: Using the magnetic platform for the Big Shot makes it really easy to keep your thin dies in position.

For the other edge I lined it up similiar, but used the label without the point.

For all the products used for yesterday's gift card holder:

Sweet Sorbet DSP (SAB - only available until the end of TODAY)
124262 Baker's Twine - Whisper White (I used Pool Party which is Retired)
Optional Extras -
